Could be the reason it didn't open up properly. Maybe 50 grains isn't enough to stabilize it out of your rifle. Not knowing what rifle you tested it out of, I'm assuming it was one of your 1:28 twisters and it's just possible that you may need to cook it off a little hotter for proper stabilization. Just a thought.
The photo show two holes made by the bullet in the face of the plywood, and the back of the carpet. They look nice and round to me. Yes, the bullet was shot from 1:28 barrel.

Yes it probably do, however it did better than the 250g XTP, and the 250g TEZ, when they were pushed by 50g of Blackhorn, and they were traveling about 1200 fps.
