Nikon Slug hunter. I had a similar one on my 500 mossy. It didn't have that BDC reticle and I really don't find those things useful but you may like it. It has 5 inches of eye relief so that wont be an issue.

Since you plan on receiver mounting it then I would suggest a Picatinny rail such as this one

The base and rings are a little higher than your $40 bucks limit but you would be best served with a rig like that since you are receiver mounting instead of a cantilevered barrel rig. It will allow you to take full advantage of that 5" eye relief and not get the old scope eye. Hate the scope eye. It tends to leave a scar. Don't ask me how I know that

I think everybody has had at least one scope ding. Glad mine was minor. I've seen some semi serious half moon eyebrow cuts before.
I learned to back off that scope when shooting to the left.
