These days more shooters are obsessed with perfection. Me included. I like playing with different loads to get my rifles shooting at least 1" @ 100 yards. And less is even better. And while I have several that will do that I sometimes like to fall back on the good old lever actions. Other then my 22 lrs, .357 and .44 lever guns I have a 30-30, 32spl, and a pair of .45-70s. All these shoot around the 2"-3" range and I don't care. That is plenty accurate for the hunting I do here in PA. And either of them is more than capable of dropping Mr. Whitetail where he stands if I do my part.
Fact is I was just out shooting the 32SPL this afternoon and I think it may be accompanying me to the woods come Monday morning. At about 75 yards, it easily dispatched 2 Jack-O-Lanterns that the grandkids had for Halloween. Turning them into pumpkin mush.
