I have to admit when I was young and foolish I wore all green woolies when hunting my native Vermont. It took years to smarten up but now I wouldn't venture out anywhere during rifle season without an orange hat and vest. Certainly more visible to hunters but I don't think it matters to the deer especially in the snow. Being safe just makes good sense.
