" I guess they figure their bows aren' t good enough to get people to stop and check them out
Advertising is a tricky thing. No matter how good the product, if people don' t look at it, it doesn' t matter. Attract their attention, and then sell them on the attributes of the bow. Good looking women attract men' s attention. Martin still has to give them a good bow to get them to buy it. However, if no one looks, then they haven' t the opportunity to sell. It' s a tough sell for the manufacturers competing with Mathews' ads and loyal followers. A company needs to find what works, when engaing in such a competitive business. Many would say that Martin has hit on something, and that it' s not immoral or unethical in most eyes.
Anyway, you' ll find far more " sex" on almost every TV commercial out there. Families are hardly being exposed to something new here. In fact, I think Martin' s ads are one of the mildest uses of sex, I' ve seen in an ad that you could say sex what a part of. I hope they keep the ad campaign going. It makes reading my bow magazines more enjoyable.
