I have never used a 2 man stand with an individual filming, but the presentation is what seems to be an issue. If you want to include the hunter in any of the filming, then someone sitting six inches from you is too close. This is why you see most hunts filmed with the camera operator 2' above and behind the shooter, this allow the camera to include both the hunter and target in the filming.
I believe it depends on what you want to capture on film, if it is just the shot then a go pro mounted on the gun or bow would suffice.
