I have only read " Finding Wounded deer" , but have heard that both of his books are excellent. Good for you for you to become open minded enough to read what experts have learned on the subject. I am 100% sure that learning all you can on the subject will make you a better hunter.

P.S. Are you sure that " Tracking Wounded Deer" is not by Richard Smith. I have read this book also, but find that John Trout' s books are a bit better. JMHO.

I believe that John trout' s other book is called " Trailing Whitetails" . But I have not read that one.
