That brings up a point that really should be discussed more.
The Yosemite binos are Porro prism while the diamondback binos are roof prism. You will almost always get clearer optics in porro prism assuming all else is equal or equal clarity from porro prism for half the price as roof prism. Vortex also makes a $100ish pair of porro prism binos but I have not looked through them or the Yosemite binos.
A quick google search will give you lots of comparison. Just google "Vortex raptor VS Leupold Yosemite"
My guess is you will find reviews going both ways with a slight edge to the vortex. I would also guess the overall build is better on the Yosemite and the glass better in the Vortex.
The bird watching forums will give you lots better information than hunting forums probably.
Anyway porro prism binos will probably always be a better bang for your buck than roof prism whether you are comparing Leupold VS Vortex , Leupold VS Leupold , or Vortex VS Vortex etc. Roof prism simply cost more than Porro prism.
