One more change to the Hawken
Now that I got rid of my glasses, I no longer have to deal with looking through curved glass. One thing I did was install a .080" thick front sight blade which was awesome. HOWEVER, now that I've switched over to contacts and see things normally without the bend, my eye was just zeroed in one that thick sight which made the rear sight very fuzzy for me to see.
I just got a new german silver front sight in today thats .050" thick and what a difference! I can see both clear as day now when I line them up. It seems to fit good in the v notch of the rear sight so, once I get my powder order in, I'll dial it back in for 100 yards and just wait for hunting season.
I hate messing with this Hawken as she shoots so beautifully but if you cant see the rear sight that well, there's got to be some kind of fixing in store.
