Not really. All the southern states are either badly infested or nearing badly infested and in the mid southwest and west they are proliferating towards the north by a scary margin. They are extremely adaptable and can survive the colder winters up in the lower 48 climate. The ones with stronger Russian bloodlines are VERY adaptable to colder climates. The ones with more of the Spanish bloodlines are the ones most commonly seen in the southern regions and they don't like the colder climates much at all but like all other hog breeds they have a strong tendency to adaptation.
