Before I would ever get a canoe, I would get a Gheenoe. They are made by a company in Florida and are much much more stable then any standard canoe. Maybe its me, but when I get in a canoe, I always seem to take a dip before the end of the day.

When my Labrador was alive, we'd go fishing in my bass boat and he could not wait to get in. But when you'd hook a fish he always wanted to grab it as you pulled it in the boat. When he was a puppy, you'd throw out a bobber on a line, and you better have a good grip on him or he'd retrieve it for you. But he learned fast to ignore a bobber.
