RE: I passed up the shot
I will make it 7 for 7!!! I have read enough threads on this site alone to know how bad a person feels after taken that shot.
I have had a similar experience my first year with a bow. I could have tried to fit an arrow through, but I knew it wasn' t 100%. This is my 2nd year and still haven' t taken a shot, let alone harvested a deer. I do not regret not taking that one. I have a feeling whatever regret you may feel now will soon be replaced with the pride of knowing you did the right thing.
