The calculators say even the 185gr is on the edge of stability in a 1-30. I shot one of my best 200 yard groups with a Lehigh 185gr DOA in a 1-30 or 1-28 45cal. It wasnt even a max load of BH209. Muzzle velocity was very likely less than 2300fps.
Good to know - I just do not know why I am able to shoot the 200 and the 215's from a 1-30 and others can not. Would my elevation play a part in that?
Scott, I am really fond of this new 215's - the nose has been completely rebuilt and closed down.
