I used to live in FL and I saw some really big bears. Since they haven't been legally hunted in a long, long time I imagine most of the first hunters will be residents and not non-residents. After all, there is no bear hunting infrastructure in place to support a bunch of non-residents hunting them. Besides, don't be surprised if the antis don't find a way to stop it. FL is full of displaced idiots from NY, NJ and MA.

That being said, I don't think I'll be hunting them. Most the bear I saw in FL were pretty scruffy in the coat. It gets hot there so you won't see any really good thick fur on a bear in FL. I've got some bear skins from CO and Canada so I don't see myself getting another one in FL.
