As a rule of thumb you can reload lead shot shells for about 1/3 of the price of a box of shells. Further savings are made if you load heavy loads or magnums. To reload these is not much more than to load trap shells, in comparison the factory ammo is quite a bit more expensive for the mag loads. Steel can be reloaded for about 2/3 the cost of factory ammo.
