Flaggs...I may be wrong, but it seems to me tht the measurements of ALL 3 the mentioned rigs are ok ?(for each barrel-swap-rig)..
Nom may possibly have some problems with adjusting headspace depending on how he goes about it, naturally..but he may probably get used to such as well...

I wasn't talking about headspace. I was talking about the dimensions of the base of the cartridge. The 30-06 is quite a bit smaller than the 338 Win since the 338 Win is based on the 300 H&H/375 H&H round. Headspace is easy to fix by adjusting the barrel, bolt face diameter is a little more tricky.
