RE: What am I doing wrong?
One thing I could not stress enough is pay attention to the wind. If you go in early, say a good hour before daylight, chances are that the animals will settle down and come back. How long are you sitting in the stand? You have to give them time to come back also. But, if you have not payed attention to the wind, and the deer are alerted to your presence by smell, they may be associating you with danger and will flee no matter what. The best advice for you right now, due to the deer being constantly spooked, is to go in about noon one day, but after you have let the area settle down for a week or two. It is tough to stay away, but educating the deer there, whether it be accidental or not, will not help your hunting situation any. Dictate the hunt be changing your strategy. One thing to remember, if you keep alerting the deer to your presence, they get smart, quick, but for some reason they keep coming back. So don' t get down and give it a try. Good Luck!!!
