Default RE: Anyone shoot DARTON???

Drew, I shoot a darton, as do several others on this board I think. I love the CPS system and think it was very well designed. I shoot a Yukon xt and really like it, but I want something a bit faster. That is the only reason I would get a different brand of bow. I have a short draw length and want a faster bow so I can up my Ke a little. I am also considering the magnum 33 that you are asking about. I have shot one, but don't own one. It was a nice bow, especially for the money. If you are a Darton fan, get it I am sure you will be happy. The service you get from darton is incredible. I have shot small bows that had better qualities, but not much. And they cost more and don't have the CPS system. The Sq2 was quieter and had no recoil, but it was slower and quite a bit more expensive. I really liked the Ultra lite 31, I shot one side by side with the Mangnum and they were fairly simular in speed and recoil. I think the parker was a bit faster and had a bit more shock. But it is smaller and weighs only 3lbs(under actually). But darton was pretty close and had a better draw in my opinion.

If I were to get a small bow I was really leaning towards the Parker, but I have been hearing so much good stuff about how Darton runs thier company and treats thier cusomers I think I would get the Magnum 33. But I am really looking for a bow that will shoot in excess of 320 fps IBO. Like the Ultra 2 or bowtechs, or parker force multiplier. I don't really want to shoot that fast, and never could with a 26 inch draw and 60 to 65 lbs of draw weight. But I want the most effecient bow I can get so I can shoot a heavier arrow and still stay around 240 fps so I can up my Ke which is only like 45 ft/lbs right now. I would like to be closer to 60 ft/lbs.

If your are looking for good opinions on dartons, I will surely give you one and don't think you would regret buying one. But all the top brands offer something comparable that is built just as well and cost about the same roughly. Check out the G2 if you want to be more confused than you are now, its a nice little bow for the money.
