Wilcam. Chiggers don't burrow under the skin. By the time you begin to itch or see a red spot or a bump the chigger is long gone. The bump and itch are a result of the enzymes the chigger used to break down the cell and feed. You don't feel them while they are on you and feeding. Do a GOOGLE search on chiggers.
