The 230 grain is a very short bullet for a 1 in 28 twist, they work well in a 1 in 38 twist. If you have a 1 in 28 twist the ideal length is .95" and a 250 will work but a 275 grain is usually easy to get accuracy with.
This has given me a lot to think about.
If they will not hold up to cleanly harvest deer....then I don't want them.
May have to regulate them to someone with a 45 cal. pistol.
Have shot traditional muzzle loaders for approx.: 40 yrs. These in-lines are a new learning curve for me. But the upside is....look at all the shooting that I get to do.

Guess that I will look for a 250 gr XTP mag
