For see-thru mounts it's is a given, it's 100% impossible to have a good cheekweld with both the sights and the scope. But having a 50mm objective doesn't really have anything to do with improper cheek weld. If a 40mm scope fits your eye position on a given stock, then adding a ~5mm cheek shim/riser gets you proper to a 50mm scope.
