It does because it contains Potassium and Sulpher in a very minimal amount. They needed to have these in to qualify as a Black Powder Sub.

The corrosion does not happen in a short period of time and only occurs if there is water moisture in contact with the powder residue.

I think we all take great time and effort to keep the bores dry while in use and in storage the bore is cleaned of residue and treated to prevent common rusting.
