RE: Useing GPS Waypoints To Draw A Map
All a waypoint is, is a position taken at an individual location and stored in your GPS with a unique name or number. You must have a map program of some kind already available on your computer to utilize these waypoints. You cannot " draw" a map from waypoints alone. A waypoint will show up as a unique position on your map with either a waypoint flag or a lat/lon flag. You may develop " routes" using the various waypoints you have mapped but you must have a mapping program already resident on your laptop that is compatible with your GPS in order to do anything. I have been using GPS and digital mapping in my work since they became commercially available, if I can help you, contact me via email and I will help as much as I can.
