Personally, if I were in his head and using a drill bit to enlarge, I would have chose #66 first.

Your brother should not pass-on this rifle and enlarged flashhole plug to a new owner either. For that new owner may want to use a powder like blackpowder Swiss or 777 FFF. That enlarged hole size should not be used in conjunction with other powders.

Thanks, I will make sure to tell him that. He also have another breech plug he hasn't drilled. our season ended yesterday and he made a mistake on trying to shoot a running deer on Friday. I gave him hell! I got a doe that night. I saw a good buck using a bean field so I setup on him for our last hunt of the year. He came down the draw at 440 and made a perfect 80 yard shot. He only went 60 yards. A super cool 7 pointer that measures 118 inches. Has chocolate horns and very good mass. My guess he is a 4 years old.
