Most people here in Idaho are trying to call them in...either by howling or prey calling. As far as dogs to hunt them, most hound hunters around here that hunt cougars are quitting, due to the risk of their dogs getting killed by wolves that discover them in their area when they are trying to run a cat. Now cougar population is growing. Wolves will not tolerate other canines in their area, and every year we hear about a hound hunter that lost all his dogs to wolves. Most simply won't risk losing their dogs that they raised and trained from puppies and are part of their family.
I suppose they could stake a dog out and lure wolves in, as long as the dog was being vocal, but what a low life pathetic unethical way to do it...and most hunters out there wouldn't tolerate it and they'd be turned in in short order.
Arguing with a liberal never works, as they are governed by emotion rather than fact. No matter what facts and logic you throw their way, they will only go with how they "feel" about it. They are the people years and years ago that stayed at camp and earned their food from the hunters by mending their things and doing camp chores. Now that we are so advanced and food is readily available, they don't have to do that and can now loudly voice their opinion on how they "feel" about hunting...whether it is bat sh*t crazy or not.
