Mine looks like the top one except it is marked Coleman-Western. I'll have to start looking on E-bay, I wouldn't mind having a couple more of them. I actually like the handle, the grooves fit me just fine, does not slip and the blade holds a darn good edge. It's been skinning deer for 30+ years now and it has de-boned a few too!
I like the grip with just the basic holding but I tend to hold my knives lots of different ways. I looked it up they are just 420HC like buck uses but they really must have hardened them. Mine are brittle and prone to chipping even on bone Ive chipped the blades but that is the tradeoff for holding a fine edge and they weren't made to chop bone.
