Growing up we had one 22 in the house a old Winchester pump dad had since I could remember.
When I came of age to own my own 22lr I bought a Remington nylon 66. My aunt had one she let us boys take out in the back yard to shoot on occasion.
I loaned my to a guy who allowed it to get stolen.
Next I bought a Remington game master pump. Still have that rifle today but haven't shot it for a long time.
I bought a Ruger 77-22 which went right along with the Ruger 77-220 swift and Ruger 77 243, made for cheap practice for years.
Recently got a Savage 93F in 22 mag for some work I did for some people. Before I got it I had seen shelves bowing from the weight of box after box of 22 mag ammo while looking for some 22lr ammo. Now it also seems hard to come by.
