It's interesting that you brought up the Model 70, which is my "go to" rifle of my 3 30-06s. They may only represent 20% of the total volume of the Remingtons that have been produced, but I would like you to show me stats where there have been ANY issues with them. I don't believe you can because there has been nothing but praise for that rifle over the years and many feel it's the best rifle to ever be produced due to it's looks, the three position safety feature, as well as the controlled round feed of the pre 64s.
