I have trapped many a skunk and put a blanket over the trap, then transported the trap wth skunk on a rack to a new location and released the skunk from the trap. Never got sprayed once. The key is to keep them calm, talk to them in a low voice and don't do anything fast. Once calmed down give them a hunk of bologna and open the trap and let them walk. I actually had one try to get back into the trap as I was picking it up.
