The gun feels good. The last time I took it out shooting I ran about 30 rds, of 180gr ammo through it. I didn't have any problems with it at all. My shoulder felt great afterwards.

If the scope is too much, then I feel as if I am better off buying something new, or a nice used gun.

I really like the savage guns. Can anybody tell their opinion on the nikon 3x9 scope that is on the newer savage models. When I have looked through them, I feel like they are nice and clear, but I also recognize that looking through a scope in a well lit store will be quite a bit different than shooting in dark timber.
