Default Quite a night.

Well I went hunting tonight, Next to last day of Missouri gun season. I was sittin there under my tree when about 4:40 I seen a Doe out in the field. I knew she was quite a ways away, over 200 Yards, but I wasnt sure how far. She was slowly making her way towards me so I figured she'd come on in and give me a closer shot. Well she saw somethin she didnt like and started working her way towards the neighbors fence. I figured I'd take the shot while I had it. I shot, and she came about 15 yds closer. So I shot again, and I couldnt see her. I didnt see her jump the fence, but I didnt see her drop. So I walk up there disgusted in my self that I missed, and there she was dead. She had all kinds of blood aroud her head and comin out her nose, so I assumed I lunged her. I got to lookin and turns out I shot her right through the eye, it exited through her neck and lodged in the base of her spine. I assume thats why I didnt see her fall, The head shot probably dropped her pretty quick.

The shot wasnt quite what I was aiming for but I'll take it.

Walked her off at a hair over 200 yards. Not bad for a 30-30.
