Shilen does a nice 700 trigger as well. I've heard good things about the Rifle Basix, but haven't owned one myself. For what it's worth, the Jewell costs almost twice as much as the rest of the fleet, but the Shilen is barely more than a factory replacement.

As far as JP triggers go, I've only had one of them on an AR, and to be honest, I've had the same results by treating the sear engagements and adding JP springs to any ol' milspec trigger, so I figure why buy a $100 trigger when a $10 spring kit and an hour of my time on the sear fixture can do the same job? If a fella doesn't own a trigger fixture, then sure, the JP's a lot better deal!

Taking a page out of your own book, Sheridan, recalling that you use the same scope and reticle on all of your rifles, I can relate that I like to have the same trigger feel. A bit heavier set Jewell or Geis on a hunting rifle gives the same feel, but with a safer weight. They're expensive, but cry once, smile often
