He misspoke a bit, but he's not wrong that a 45-70 is legal in Ohio.
The Ohio regs are that STRAIGHT WALL CARTRIDGES are legal. Not just "pistol cartridges". Plenty of folks are jumping on 45-70's and 38-55's in Ohio right now.
