I know this is an old post, but for those interested I love this steel. It holds a good edge easy to sharpen, somewhat corosion resistant for a high carbon blade.

My 52100 blade was made by Wolf Creek Forge out of Kentucky and I can't speak highly enough about this Mom and Pop blacksmith shop.
