Default RE: highcountry carbon bows

HC came out with the " all-carbon" riser bow several years ago. They were very expensive, compared to the average bow of the day. I believe it was somewhere around 1996 or 97, but not sure. I haven' t heard much about the bow since it' s inception. So, either it wasn' t that great, or the cost precluded anyone buying it.

Having dealt with all carbon arrows, I worry somewhat about the tolerances of a carbon riser bow. Number one is, is it straight???? How does heat effect it??? (reason I question this, they' re not like arrows that aren' t stressed. Just being strung up is stressing the riser and I wonder how heat effects it).

I hope someone else here has or had one and can give firsthand experience.
