I wouldn't trust a high shoulder placement with the BST. Out of a 7-08, there are plenty of bullets that would punch through a high shoulder and still be smiling when they push through the far shoulder, but the BST is not one of them. Hitting even a heart/lung soft tissue vital area placement, the BST's turn the insides of a deer into stew. They're GREAT on deer past 200-250, and have performance at 400-500yrds that mimics a normal PSP at 100yrds, but when they're moving fast, it's like shooting a deer with a lightbulb. Most of my recovered BST "bullets" are just jacket fragments, the separated core, and a jagged banana peeled base under 30% retained. I've used them for a long time, and they put vital shot deer down FAST, but a bone crusher, they are not...
