I just use the climbing mechanism of a climbing tree stand. Forced myself to carry it into and out of the woods and kept using the same tree stand for some twenty years.
Never got use to leaving the climber out in the weather overnight.
That's what happens when you're real cheap. You don't think of getting tree steps.
