No single sight is best for every archer. You don't need to spend over $50 to take down a whitetail at 30 yards, but if you're shooting prairie dogs at 60, you might need to spend a little more. I use a very basic 4-pin fiber optic for deer and I've shot gophers at up to 35 yards. I don't hunt deer past 30 yards, because that's where my skills limit my confidence in a clean shot. But it's nice having a 40 yard pin for practice. Correct peep size is also important. If you can, try a couple different sizes with the sight you choose.
