This is the first year i'm using maxiballs to hunt. As you all know they come with bore butter for lube. I'm still thinking of wiping it off, and using something else to lube. To be honest it works pretty good as a conical lube. I can take 7-8 shots without swabbing, and they're very accurate.

My concern is the BB getting hard in cold weather. I don't think it will be a concern though. I'll be reloading every morning, so the lube will be soft from being indoors. That takes care of the load in the gun. Then I have some speedloaders I use for follow up shots if needed. (never have needed). I'll carry a couple of speedloader in my front pocket of my pants. My body heat should keep them warm, and the BB soft.

That's the plan anyway.

btw Bore butter would be last on my list of all the products made in the world for rust preventative.
