If you want to shoot pyrodex, try Pyrodex Select. The Pyrodex RS has a lot of dust in the container. The closer to the bottom you get the more dust you will have in your loads, this will affect your shooting. The Pyrodex Select is sifted to remove all the dust, what you have left is a product that your last loads used will be the same as your first loads used. The granules of Select are all about the same size, and with no dust. Also when I switched from RS to Select my groups closed up substantially. With 100 grains of Select and a 430 grain maxie ball I was holding about 2 1/2" groups at 100 yards. At the time I was well pleased with that. It might even cure your flyers.
