In both my 54 Renegades I tried from 70 to 120 with a .530 and a .535 ball both shot the tightest group at 125 yds with a .535 ball and 110 gr. of RS Pyrodex, my custom built .54 also likes this load best. With a .54 it is my opinion that a PRB is adequate for all medium size game I have take over 100 deer 6 hogs and 11 black bear with mine.
