On 2 different days i have seen three bucks but 2/3 busted me. For the time being i can only hunt on the ground, which is ok. But the deer seem to pick me out when they get about 15 yards from me, which is ok.
No offense, but my guess is that you' re either moving, or they see you standing upright.
But my problem is that they are not giving me a chot cause they are walking straight at me.
This generally indicates that your stand/spot is ON the trail.
I was told to put the scent on my boot and walk to where i am going to hunt so if i deer picks it up they will follow it in. Well how can i get the deer to come in but not come in walking right at me? Should i not put the scent on my boot or what?
If they' re coming in on the scent trail, try walking a semi-circle around your spot before you go to your stand. Add a few scent dispensors around your area - and make it so the deer walk at an angle from the trail - and it might help.
