I would take a serious look at Vortex. Especially if you're not looking to spend the $$$ on Swarovski or Zeiss. I work at Cabelas, so if I've got time during my lunch I'll go play around with some of the binos outside. At night the Zeiss and Swarovskis pick up the light just a hair better than the Vortex. Same goes for the clarity, the higher $$$ are slightly better. None of the three give you "double vision" which can't be said about some of the less expensive binos. It's just a matter of whether or not that performance is worth the price to you. If money was no object I'd get Swarovskis, but that being said, I just bought a pair of Vortex 10x50 diamondbacks and couldn't be happier with them. If you've got the time I'd go to a place that has the ones you're looking at later at night and just go outside and try them in the lower light setting.
