I wonder if that statistic includes us older guys? It sounds like it does. I wonder what percentage of males between 16 and 25 hunt? I' ll bet it is much lower then 25%. The problem is, very few non-hunters raise kids that end up hunting. Add to that the fact that many hunters raise kids that do not hunt, and you can see why this percentage gets worse all the time. To change it around, we have to find kids from non-hunting families and somehow get them interested. Getting them into target archery or 3D is a great place to start. The local shop I cater to, allows kids to shoot free. They' ll even loan them a bow, so they can learn.
