I also have the 220 and love it. Used to hunt with an 870 in 12 gauge. Got tired of beating myself up, and the 20 is plenty for deer. I'm pretty sure there is no difference between the 220 and the 220f (I posted the same question a couple years ago when I was in the process of buying mine, and that is the response I recall getting).
