I have 2 M 700 remi's . One in 243, and one in 30-06. They are great rifles. But the Savage 110 in 30-06 and will shoot rings around them. I have a Ruger in 270, But it is a lot heavier to carry than the Remi's and the Savage. But there all nice rifles. Go to your LGS and handle them and choose one that fits your budget. Stay away from a Remi 770. Go with a 700 if you want a remi, BDL or ADL. good luck.
