I've used Permanone (main ingredient was Permethrin) since back in the 80s and continue to today (simplest form is flea/tick killer in spray bottles at pet stores). NEVER had a problem with it on ANY clothing, goretex or otherwise! (Just don't spray it directly on your skin)
