Permethrin & Goretex
Anyone know if permethrin will adversely affect breathable material like goretex, underarmour, merino wool, and similar materials? I'd like to apply it to my boots, but I don't want to seal them up so they are not breathable. One manufacturer's website I was on said that it would not harm clothing or equipment, but to test some in an inconspicuous spot. I don't know how you would be able to tell if it was affecting breathability until it was too late.
