That is another example of the counties deciding if a hunter can take a doe. Has your county ever asked for a doe hunt or are they willing to simply control the system? Didn't you say earlier there are too many does? So, why can't you hunt one? Because the county doesn't want you to.
What about the counties without Veto authority like Cal said? If the DFG wanted to do doe hunts they would in those counties and yet they still dont. You can try to blame local govts all you want but it is strictly a CA DFG issue, not the local housewife on some board like you try to blame.
