Default The Black Knight .54

Took the new to me Knight .54 cal Black Knight out today to try some conicals before the rain came (just made it home before a downpour).
All shots were taken at 50 yds with 100 grains of Pyrodex RS. I don't know why I put 90 grs on the targets. Old age is creeping up on me I guess. Also the shot labeled #7 on the second target is actually #6. This was one of those "what the heck" shots after it went off after having the previous 2 shots touching. Then I did shoot #7 and it fell right in with the other two. The unmarked hole is a result of a scope adjustment after firing the first four where I didn't adjust far enough.
Anyhow, I am more than satisfied with the performance of this rifle. A 425 gr bullet pushed by 100 gr of Pyro RS should be plenty capable of knocking down just about anything I plan on shooting at. If anyone has any suggestions for another bullet in the 400+ grain range let me know.
I did notice however that when I was loading both bullets on a clean (alcohol swabbed) bore I was getting some drag which felt like a rough bore. It looked good but felt rough. When I cleaned it after I got home I gave it about 200 swipes with JB compound and it felt a bit smoother. We shall see next time out.
